exciting meeting

So on Thursday I had a meeting with an advisor on creative businesses and i told her my idea and she was really positive and gave me loads of great things to look into. Really motivated to get this all rolling. I just had a great weekend in Edinburgh and after seeing all the nice little shops around which just don't exist in Dundee ( The Red Door Gallery in particular was really nice)  it's even more obvious that something like that should open around here. It's just stupid since there's an art college around and the V&A is opening. Just got to plan and set the wheels in motion. Feel so grown up, yikes!

Hello Stranger

So it's been a while since I've posted but I thought it would be a good idea to start and collect my ideas in something other than a sketchbook. I've been really into the idea of starting a business over the last while. Whether it's selling my own work in different places, or starting up an actual shop to sell other peoples too. I think the latter is what I have my heart set on. I even bought 'How to set up a business for dummies earlier' haha :) Having a full time job takes up so much time but I'm determined to work hard to make it work.

Degree Show Prints

A bit late in adding them but here are the main screenprints I had up at degree show. They are about synaesthesia which is a rare brain disorder which causes the sufferer to experience 2 or more senses when in reality they are only experiencing one. It happens when there is a cross wiring in the brain and I think its quite interesting.

New Designers

just back from a week in London for the New Designers exhibition. I had a good time and can't wait to go back. Might have another exhibition lined up there in october but not totally finalised yet. fingers crossed though. heres some photos from my exciting week.

Some pages from a book i made about synaesthesia. It is a rare brain condition which makes the sufferer experience two senses when in reality they are only experiencing one. I made this alphabet book to try and display how diverse the condition can be.

Some photos i took on saturday for a project. Poor guys had to pose with they're hair in chicken bones and fish scales on their face, but i think they worked out well.

poster competition

I made some posters in January for a poster competition but i've been to lazy to post them until now.
